Hey guys. Just wanted to update you and let you know that we arrived safely in bangladeh from kathmandu last night. We stayed in the capital city of Daaka last night and then flew to chittagong this morning, then tommorow we will take a four hour van ride to the place where our training will take place. Wow. I was realizing on the plane something big.. being a m*ssionary really means you get to travel, and you must realyl learn to be flexible. In the past two months I have been on 11 plane rides, (some big ones and some of the tiniest planes that you can ever imagine), and in four different countries (nepal, USA, Thailand and now Bangladesh). What a fun life huh!
Last night you should have seen us m*ssionaries from TEAM nepal. They have an acutal pizza hut in Daaka and we don’t have anything like that in nepal. Granted I was just in america a little over a month ago, I was still probablly just as excited as the rest of the team. We had a blast eating at the pizza hut and then last night in our guest house playing games. I must say I am really thankful for our team. God has really been knitting us together as one lately, which is something I have really prayed for. We have had a great time lately fellowshipping together and enjoying one another. In case you forgot my team consists of me, leah, shyam and paula katry and their three hilarious kid Micah (5) Karona (8) and Shyrsti (3 or 2 not sure) It’s fun being aunt Jenn to all of them, Nathan and Sarah (who are in america in seminary right now) and Daniel and Chrissy (who praise the lord just got approved to go to field prep in november which means they may be here by next january or before.. wahoo!) please keep our team in your prayer!
It’s really neat to be in bangladesh. ABWE has had people here for year and years.. it is our bigget ministry in South Asia. I have read much and heard much about their ministrie here, so I am excited to hear it first hand. Bangladhe i a muslim country so it has quite the different religious feel to it then Nepal, which is primarily Hindu. Although the interesting thing is that right now in both Nepal and Bangladesh they are celebrating their biggest religious holiday of the year.. both Mulim and Hindu. Please pray for both of these countries.. that the light of the gospel of Christ will set them free.
Tonight we are going over to my regional administator jim long’ house. I feel soo blessed to have him and marilous as our administrators. I love them soo much and He has a crazy booming laugh so when you put us together it’ hilarious.
so that’ enough of an update now. I just wanted to let you know that we got here safe and sound.
