THis is a video for your viewing pleasure of me driving the purple pleasure. I love it that God gave me the courage to learn to drive and that He has kept me safe. Thought you might enjoy this. Just push play 🙂
I love that…
—- Yesterday we had an awesome womens conference at our church. About 50 women came, includng several unsaved friends. Leah Chrissy and I were the speakers. I love that God totally weaved our messages together even though we did not discuss to eachother what we were going to talk about. God really showed up and showed ouit as we brought His word. It was an exciting closing ladies program for me. My favorite part was when right before I was going to speak, our little baby goat climbed four flights of stairs and then came in and peed on our church carpet.. I love that I had to escort our still not yet named baby goat out of the church before I could speak.
— My nepalese friends love language is feed jenn feed jenn feed jenn. Breakfast lunch and goodbye dinners.. eating dhal bhat at all of them.. and then they say could you come again for another goodbye dinner.
— these past few weeks have shown me so much what God has done in 2 years. The deep relationships that He has given me with people who live in a completely different culture from me is so encouraging. It’s been hard to see my nepalese friend struggle with me leaving.. but it also makes me feel so loved by them and want to praise the Lord so much for the amazing things He has done
— in one week and one day I will be leaving nepal
—I love that at our fourth of july american club party they forgot to bring hotdogs. And by I love that I am being sarcastic. We were so excited about the hotdogs.. oh well we still had fun anyay.
–I love that leah and I went to see the Yale Whiffenpoofs on Saturday night. Isn’t that an awesome name. We first heard of the yale whiffenpoofs on gilmore girls. We thought it was a made up group. So I was so excited when I saw the poster for them coming to kathmandu. So I suprised leah and we went. First of all I love that they picked us up in an AIRCONDITIONED GOOD SMELLING NICE bus.. that does not happen here. I did not even know those kind of things existed. Leah and I closed our eyes and pretended we were in Europe. It was pitiful.. we decided since the tickets were pretty expensive that even if the whiffenpoofs were not any good it was worth the ride. pitiful I know. But the whiffenpoofs were awesome. They are an accapello group of singing seniors from yale. They were so funnny and great singing. Leah and I actually got dressed up (which was good.. it was a swanky affair, most of the men were in suits) and we had a blast. I love that the whiffenpoofs sometimes referred to themselves as the whiff’s or the poofs. How fun is that!
—I love that all these goodbye dinners I can sit around for hours with my nepalese friends and talk completely for hours easily in their language. That is still hard to fathom for me. What the GRACE and power of God. God promised Moses that He would be with him and help Him to speak. I love that He extended that same grace to me. I love that I can sit around and joke with my nepalese friends in their own heart language.
— I love that you guys have been my prayers warriors. You have walked this 2 year journey with me. You have held me up.. you have laughed with me, cried with me, allowed yourself to experience nepal with me. I love that.. and I love you. Thank you is not a strong enough word to say for all the packages, e-mails, letters, prayer, financial support. I love that I LOVE you!
