I love this verse. God tells the: Guess what, it’s time. You’ve been circling long enough… Go North.
Heard an excellent sermon yesterday on this by Mike Chapman at City Church. Loved that the sermon started out with this verse.
Do you ever feel like you are circling around the same place, position, circumstance and you long to move in a new direction but you are not sure how?
God knows exactly what position you are in the map and when it’s time for you to move on toward a new path, new direction, new position <<<<——— Click to Tweet
It’s my humble non map non compass reading self that you can find your position (or so I have heard) by finding north.. (and If i have no idea what i am talking about just ignore that and go with the oh so fun anology)
True confession– I like the little roundabout things that they are using now instead of intersections. Sometimes if no one is around I go around them several times just for fun.
But the truth is if I kept going in circles I would not get anywhere. Maybe you feel you are going around in circles in a certain situation, relationship, job, life in general. Maybe it’s time to go North.
Gaze upward. Look at the one who has the map all figured out for you. He has the path (Psalms 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of Joy) mapped for you, the rest stops, the scenic routes, the people you will meet on the way..
Focus on where the Lord is leading you. The ultimate compass, the ultimate guide.
Ask Him to help you stop circling around and around and Go north. And when you get lost, look at the map again. Ask for His guidance. (Because let’s be honest there are times we get lost, way lost)
Yesterday I went hiking with my dear friend Becca and if she had not been guiding me i would have NEVER found my way. And she was looking at the map.
Psalms 37:23 The steps of (insert your name here) are established by the Lord!
Even when the map looks crazy like the subway maps I used to try to follow when I lived in Japan for a summer (it’s amazing I ever found my way out of Japan)
